My resupply parcel is on its way (thanks Kev/Nick). I emailed the recipient. Still OK, except no vacancies on my expected arrival Sat 26th. Can do Friday = hard work, or Sunday = too late. Have decided to go for the Friday.
Plus 3/4 mile back from last night’s campsite and plus 1/2 mile backtracking after missing an unmarked turn (had to include this to make it a 20+ mile day).
Finally met some other hikers. A couple doing a 5 day stretch on the GR5, finishing today. Nice to talk to someone who knows what the GR5 is.
Plus another 3/4 mile to the campsite.
Not a long distance day – after Stavelot it’s uphill and forest, so no likely camping spots.
Because my air mattress was wet last night (see yesterday), I couldn’t lay the sleeping bag out to air, so at bedtime, still had a damp mat and a damp sleeping bag.
Day started badly with a half deflated mattress and rain. My previous mattress repair looked slightly ropey, so stuck some more sealant over it. However, why would it suddenly start leaking again after a week?
