Day 13 – 19 miles to Gellik
Tarmac, forest, forest, forest, tarmac, tarmac, tarmac, forest, forest,
Tarmac, forest, forest, forest, tarmac, tarmac, tarmac, forest, forest,
And an extra mile detour. As promised the temperature was cooler today. However overnight the rain came. Started at 2.30am, so not much sleep after that.
Didn’t sleep well. Not sure why. Camp packed and hiking by 7.00am.
Probably worrying about being moved on, since I had camped most inconsiderately!
Was not firing on all cylinders today. Very hot again. And today I had the joy of mosquitos. I hate them, they hate me.
A very varied day. The usual mix of forest and field / track and tarmac, but quite a lot to look at.
A few mosquito bites to start the day when striking camp. Got one on my big toe (how?) and its been itching all day.
The day started on the hunt for the watermelon.
